Access to clean and safe drinking water still remain a problem to majority of rural people

13:51 Mar 28 2012 Apac

Description
Majority of rural communities in Apac still lack clean and safe drinking water. During a meeting with Kidlani Parish VSAC members, an issue to limited access to clean drinking water was raised. They noted that the Parish has only six deep wells serving 11 villages with a total population of around 6,800 people and only 3 boreholes which is being shared with pupils as they are located in schools. They therefore requested for more deep wells to be drilled so as to reduce on the distances that they move to draw water.
