SIPU International will, together with Jarskog Konsult, execute two new International Training Programmes for Private Sector Development: "Strategic Business Management" (SBM) and "Private Sector Growth" (PSG). The separate but interlinked programmes are sponsored by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The objectives of the two programmes is to contribute to the development of a vibrant and sustainable private sector, seeking to strengthen collaboration between the private and public sectors, for better functioning markets and improved integration in world trade.
The training is designed to contribute to revitalization and changes for the better in each participant’s business/organisation. This in turn will contribute to decisive and lasting change at a national level, improving the business climate and stimulating sustainable economic growth.
This first round of the new programmes will be run during 2012 and is reserved for Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
Information brochures and application forms for the programmes can be downloaded from the SIPU international webpage. The programme is financed by the Swedish International Development Agency, and includes a scholarship.
The top ten candidates from each country will be selected and help is kindly requested to find the most suitable candidates, by spreading this information to people and organisations you believe match the selection criteria and can contribute to your country’s sustainable growth.
The SBM programme is designed for business leaders from small and medium-sized businesses, who are highly motivated to grow their own business in a sustainable way, as well as their country's economy. The applicant and the organisation must have a mandate to develop and promote a sustainable private sector and integration in world trade.
