Alliance Française Kampala (AFK) invites any amateur photographer to participate in the international photography competition "Planet Women" launched by the "Fondation Alliance Française" with the participation of the magazine "Courrier International".

Send two photos showing your vision of women, your name, age, phone number, name of your pictures before September 9th, 2011 by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

You can also bring them directly at Alliance Francaise Kampala, Plot 6 Mackinnon Road, Nakasero on a USB key or a CD. The files have to be 1Mo maximum each, in JPEG format (.jpeg) with a 1500x2100 pixels resolution and 72 DPI (max)The AFK’s jury will select some finalists and organize an exhibition mid-September, where the public will be able to choose the finalist for Uganda. His/her work will be sent to the “Fondation Alliance Française” which will then select the final world winner.

The top prize is a one-week trip to Paris (accommodation and return plane ticket for one person) and the opportunity to exhibit your work in an art gallery in Paris. The 20 best contesters selected by the Foundation will see their work exhibited in Paris and in the Courrier International newspaper.

The contest is free and open to amateur photographers of any age and any nationality. So don’t hesitate, send us your work and stand a chance to win this exceptional prize! Good luck!
