Heart In Action Enterprises (HIAE) and WOUGNET have teamed up to develop and provide access to an online live & interactive end user social new media platform utilizing HIAE’s secured multimedia communication (multicast) application for social media online web events, conferences and e-learning.

The vision of the collaborative platform is to empower particularly women and the youth to engage in everything from online global leadership dialogues to dialogues within their local communities as well as providing innovative social media and multimedia application tools for learning & communication.

Recently, the platform has been used in partnership with MPWN (Mulago Positive Women's Network, an HIV+ women's network with a vision of bringing back hope to the lives of women and children who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Uganda) in an online campaign for INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2011 and MOTHER'S DAY 2011. These events document the compelling stories of real people and women in leadership roles in Africa through a convergence of technologies helping to bridge the Digital Divide.

Click here for a video about the platform.
