The two Dimitra radio talk shows held in Mubende and Kasese 10th June and 24th June respectively by Women of Uganda Network, were geared towards enhancing awareness on the use of ICTs in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship for rural development. The radio talk shows highlighted how Information, Communication and Technologies can be used to access market by farmer groups, networking, information sharing, participation and partnership with other organisations to achieve rural development. It was realised that most rural organisations use different ICTs accessible to them in their areas of of localities to achieve development for example Radios, Mobile phones, Televisions to pass on and access information about market, climate change and many others as opposed to internet. The work of Dimitra project was highlighted to them because the project mostly empowers rural based organisations in order to achieve Rural Developmet through various interventions. The project profiles information regarding organisational activities and put on to the Dimitra Database. This icreases organisation's Visibility as well as their activities. The two hosts for the radio talk shows from Biva eri mukama Women's Organisations and Bukana Rural Development Association were from Mubende and Kasese respectively as well as being Dimitra member Organisations. The two hosts shared their experience in working with WOUGNET and Dimitra Project through use of ICTs,information sharing, dissemination and how they have achieved development in their areas.
