POSITION: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMES Role: Initiate, Manage and Monitor the implementation of UWONET programmes in line with the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the organisation.
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Result Areas: 1. Initiate programmes and fundraise in accordance with UWONET’s Strategic Plan 2. Put in place Monitoring and Evaluation systems and oversee all programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure attainment of planned results
3. Provide technical support to improve the performance of the staff in resource mobilization, monitoring, impact assessment and analytical report writing skills 4. Develop short term plans that address the strategic plan. 5. Prepare programme reports for the Board of Directors and donors/Partners PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS: The position requires an individual who possess the following key qualities:

Required Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree/qualification in Humanities, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender and Women Studies or Law, Skills in Monitoring and Evaluation computer and valid driving licences. A minimum of ten (10) years experience in Development related work.
POSITION: PROGRAMME COORDINATOR, RESEARCH, INFORMATION AND ADVOCACY
Role: Facilitate in the identification, planning, development and implementation of research and advocacy initiatives within the organization and with partners at Local, National, Regional and International.
Reports to: Director of Programmes
Key Result Areas: 1. Initiate research and advocacy programmes and fundraise in line with UWONET’S Strategy and work plans. 2. Provide support to all UWONET thematic areas in their research and advocacy related-functions (including support in setting up a research agenda, identifying research issues and conducting action research. 3. Responsible for documentation and information sharing of key learning within the organization on research and advocacy initiatives with other stakeholders. 4. Develop proposals, plans and budgets for UWONET research, information and advocacy initiatives. 5. Participate in the implementation of advocacy programmes. 6. Initiate, support and nurture community driven advocacy and activism. 7. Prepare project reports for management and donors

Role: Initiate and facilitate the identification, planning, development and implementation of Capacity Building and Networking within the organization and with partners at Local, National, Regional and International levels.
Reports to: Director of Programmes
Key Result Areas: 1. Facilitate in building strong alliances and networks of civil society organizations at District and National Levels for concerted advocacy 2. Initiate programmes and fund raise for Networking and Capacity Building in line with UWONET’s Strategy. 3. Identify and recruit high level members from all sectors of civil society, who are committed to increasing financial commitments and resources for women’s rights 4. Initiate capacity building programmes for members and partners at district and national levels 5. Coordinate members on particular thematic areas. 6. Develop and maintain networks with partner agencies for resource sharing and cost saving 7. Prepare project reports for management and donors

POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY
Role: Provide secretarial and personal assistantship support to the Executive Director, manage and coordinate the Network’s operations to ensure the efficient implementation of programs and timely communication with the Network’s various stakeholders.
Reports: Finance and Administration Manager
Key Result Areas: 1. Efficient office administration and management 2. Support programme staff on logistic management 3. Timely communication 4. Proper filing of all organisations documents
PERSSONNEL SPECIFICATION 1. Office and front desk Management 2. Excellent Computer knowledge 3. Knowledge in administrative and secretarial functions 4. Excellent Communicator 5. Knowledge in information management and documentation
Required Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of a Degree in Secretarial Studies or any other degree with skills in secretarial work or its equivalent from a reputable Institution/University with a minimum of five (5) years experience in an administrative position.
POSITION: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Prepare payments of office and other bills as per laid down procedures of the organization 2. Responsible for Petty Cash Disbursements 3. Verify all invoices and requisitions and ensure that adequate supporting documents are in place before any payment is made. 4. Process advance payments for programme activities 5. File all payments, accountabilities, accounts and ensure that all paid documents are stamped. 6. Keep an updated stores Ledger 7. Prepare monthly vehicle reports 8. Maintain an up to date assets register with all acquisitions and disposals 9. Any other duty as may be assigned by the Finance & Administration Manager from time to time

Key Result Areas: 1. Reports on and stores 2. Report on fleets management 3. Proper Filling of records 4. Monthly financial report
Required Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of a Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounts. Must be computer literate and conversant with Ms Word, Ms Excel, and Accounting Packages especially Pastel with a minimum of five (3) years experience working with NGO’s.
