Directions: After the Kamwokya market as you travel along Kira road, turn off to your left onto Kenneth Dale, (just before the football field and Kira Road Police Station). In conjunction with Consumer Education Trust (CONSENT) and Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET), Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) organized a Consumer Public Dialogue and a Gender and ICT Youth Camp for Lira district that took place at the Pan Africa Hotel in Lira Town from September 25-27, 2009. The camp and dialogue aimed to : - raise Gender and ICT awareness amongst the girl child - raise awareness about the role of ICT in development - educate consumers on their rights and obligations and generate feedback from them on communication services - identify opportunities for addressing consumer issues in the sector - strengthen the relationship between stakeholders and Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) See the event in pictures on WOUGNET at Facebook
