1. Today’s question: How can ICTs be used in ways that achieve measurable results in a reasonable time frame?

2. Patrick Kaija: All stakeholders MUST participate at every ICT review and planning.

3. Caroline Wamala: Timely information can be delivered in the remote villages through ICT but coupled with field visits (possibly providing hands-on training) would make the communication process more effective.

4. Patrick Kaija: Appropriate technology works most effectively with good management, clear vision, SMART goals, activity planning, timely reviews and decision making.

5. Aramanzan Madanda: I have noted that those that have harnessed the power of computing have reaped big. Unfortunately the spread on this technology is still very limited.

6. George S. Ayomiire UGOWEFO: In order to see tangible results, ICT should be a part of and integrated into functional adult literacy program curriculum and rural community vocational training center prioritized and encouraged.

7. Agnes Kadama:  First train the rural people through community telecenters so that they learn and also own the entire process and supervise themselves.

8. Vincent Mugaba: The technology must have clear and useful benefits for it to succeed.

9. Isaac Kasana: If appropriately utilized, Radio is the most effective in the case of Uganda because of the people that can be reached and because there is no literacy hurdles. The only limitation is that rural users may not afford to talk back.
