WOUGNET promotes and supports networking of women and women organisations through the use of ICTs for sustainable development. WOUGNET is a growing network whose growth and member participation are both related to the extent to which members see their own priorities reflected in WOUGNET's program areas. WOUGNET’s vitality and relevance depends on the input and participation by members. WOUGNET is also involved in networking at regional and international levels. Currently, WOUGNET is the Dimitra Project partner for Eastern Africa - http://www.fao.org/dimitra. The Dimitra Project/FAO focuses on information sharing and networking among rural women organisations and organisations working with rural women. As the Eastern Africa partner, WOUGNET covers Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda: http://www.wougnet.org/Projects/dimitra.html |
