Directions: After the Kamwokya market as you travel along Kira road, turn off to your left onto Kenneth Dale, (just before the football field and Kira Road Police Station). Technical support
The objective of this program is to promote and support the strategic and innovative application of ICTs by WOUGNET members and within WOUGNET.

    HIAE-WOUGNET_Partnership_Banner

    Heart In Action Enterprises (HIAE) and WOUGNET have teamed up to develop and provide access to an online live & interactive end user social new media platform utilizing HIAE’s secured multimedia communication (multicast) application for social media online web events, conferences and e-learning. The vision of the collaborative platform is to empower particularly women and the youth to engage in everything from online global leadership dialogues to dialogues within their local communities as well as providing innovative social media and multimedia application tools for learning & communication.
  • ICT Training  ( 6 items )
    WOUGNET seeks to build the capacity of women and women organisations to use ICTs in strategic ways that increase their effectiveness and sustainability. This covers not only WOUGNET training in recent developments in the ICT sector, but also training in ICT provided by other institutions that may be of value to the membership. Most of the training will be available in Uganda, but this section will also cover international and online training opportunities.
  • Access to technology  ( 26 items )
    Under this activity, we look at the developments in technology on a global level, both in Software and Hardware. New applications and hardware maybe tested for functionality and appropriateness for the WOUGNET members and made known to the membership. Where testing cannot be done by the WOUGNET TechTeam, research on the technology and opininons of current users and experts is complied and provided to the membership to make an informed decision.
  • Tech Tips  ( 72 items )
    TechTips is designed to answer computer and other ICT-related queries of concern to WOUGNET members and our partners. At least one techtip is published each month, made available to the membership on the website, in a monthly e-newletter and in a quartely print newsletter. You can also submit a query in the contact form on the right.
  • Tech Support  ( 2 items )
    This activity addresses the hands-on technical support to WOUGNET members, which may range from basic troubleshooting, to website design, to technical advise as may be required by the membership. The aim is to support women organisations to access, utilise and apply ICTs in addressing their development problems. Under this activity we also provide an opportuinty for those that would like to volunteer their time and technical skills. These are both Ugandan and International volunteers.
