Overall Responsibility: Support fundraising activities and oversee all planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all iCON programs and activities in line with the Vision, Mission and Goal of the organisation. The CGIAR Gender & Diversity Program is assisting Australia Awards in mobilizing applications from women PhD scholars for this new program (first run in 2010 and expanded this year), which actively encourages PhDs that are based on collaborative projects between the applicant's home country and Australia. Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) is a non-governmental organization initiated in May 2000 by several women's organisations in Uganda to develop the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) among women as tools to share information and address issues collectively. WOUGNET's vision is a society in which women are empowered through the use of ICTs for sustainable development.
WOUGNET welcomes applications from dynamic, self-motivated and innovative individuals for the positions of Coordinator and of Fundraising Manager. The Coordinator heads WOUGNET and supports WOUGNET membership, projects and partnerships. The Fundraising Manager raises resources for WOUGNET as well as manages and develops key relationships with a range of individual, development and corporate supporters.
