The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence SMS Campaign was run from 25 November 2007 to 10 December 2007 with a focus on the girl child in Kenya. All the messages posted during the campaign are online at the WOUGNET blog . The Campaign was set up with a call for participation and instructions on how to participate as below: Call to Participate in the SMS Campaign for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Join us to Speak Out, Stand Out, and Commit to preventing Violence against Women during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence With your participation, WOUGNET in collaboration with Womensnet, South Africa and APC-Africa-Women (AAW), will be conducting an SMS-based campaign. The idea is to send out SMSs on each of the 16 Days of Activism that will allow individuals and organisations to Speak Out, Stand Out, and Commit to preventing Violence against Women. We would like you to send your slogan/message which highlights your resistance to violence against women.
