For the past four years, the Guardian has been monitoring a development project in the sub-county implemented by Amref and funded by readers and Barclays. In October, a team from the Guardian visited Katine to see the progress that has been made and hear about what comes next. See more pictures on Flickr.
Find out more about the first three years of the Katine project on our dedicated website or on the Global development site's Return to Katine section
