Uganda Private Midwives Association (UPMA) is organizing the fourth International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) Africa meeting in Kampala, Uganda. In 2008 during the third ICM African Midwives Conference held in Ghana, Uganda was selected to host the fourth conference which will be held at Speke Resort Munyonyo in central Uganda from Monday, 4th to Thursday, 7th May, 2010. The conference theme is"African Midwives United Towards Contribution to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals". The four day meeting will offer participants an opportunity to share knowledge and experience to strengthen the midwifery practice, education and research in relation to the contribution towards achievement of Millennium Development Goals. International, Regional and National Midwifery Schools, Universities/Colleges, Hospitals, Organizations, and Midwifery providers have been invited to participate in the conference. Over the course of four days, more than 500 (five hundred) participants will have the opportunity to hear speakers on a variety of MDG goals, achievements and challenges, and network with peer reproductive healt h professionals. UPMA welcomes your participation including submission of abstracts. |
