- The women groups in Luwero district without any financial assistance have purchased 20 hectares of land and planted Clonal coffee and other fruit trees that land. However, the problem of maintenance due to lack of skill is still a problem ;
- WODREC has carried out two kind of educational tours from Luwero to Kalangala and vice versa for the women groups to see what the others do and learn how they do it. This was done with the little money they had saved but it was a good sign of willingness to move further;
- Despite the fact that most of the members are illiterate, they have expressed willingness to learn and acquire knowledge and skills on financial management including book keeping and also skills in project identification and design.
- Despite the financial constraint, the members have been have come together in different groups exchange or ideas and skills on conflict resolving has been tackled. They can now 50% handle conflicts ranging from natural resource based conflict to village and parish level conflicts of all nature.
