UGOWEFO is registered as a Limited Company by Guarantee under certificate no. 46189 and as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) under certificate no. LUB/151. It is now pursuing registration as an NGO.
The organisation has never recieved any external funding and is having financial difficulties in implementing and running its programs and activities. UGOWEFO also seeks adequate training skills and expertise for effective programs and activities implementation and sustainability. It seeks adequate offices and vocational training premises. It seeks appropriate networking, information exchange and effective partnership and collaboration with organisations having similar objectives. UGOWEFO therefore seeks funding required for its budget. UGOWEFO is lifting a voice calling all to be involved and concerned in order to offer an opportunity to ensure that the contributions, concerns and needs of older people in Uganda are recognised and their values reflected. "Where the elderly people were yesterday, is where you are today and where they are today, is where you will be tomorrow". "Why not join hands with UGOWEFO today - to provide a 'voice' for the concerns, priorities, and recommendations of Uganda's elderly people to be understood and appreciated" |
