MWODEA's objectives are:

Why special concern for women
- Most women lack access to information, education and resources, enabling them to appropriately care for their minds and bodies.
- It is women, who experience sexual abuse and domestic violence but only 44 countries in the world that have laws that protect women against domestic violence.
- The problem of sexual assaults has to be addressed since statistics show that 40-60% of sexual assaults is against girls below the age of 16.
- Women and young girls are deceived and sexually used because they can't sustain themselves financially.
- Women are more infected with HIV/AIDS as compared to men. In Sub-Saharan Africa, girls are five times more likely than boys to be infected with HIV/AIDS. This further explains why the females should be given more attention because of their:
- Sexual passivity
- Vulnerability
- Socio-economic norms
- Traditional practices
- Biological
- Cultural norms towards gender arrangement whereby women face difficulties in accessing credit, which limits their returns, due to lack of collateral, illiteracy, the small scope of their economic activities, the physical and other social impediments.
- A large part of women's invisible and unpaid work is their labour input in food production and processing, both for subsistence and market consumption.
- Women move along with their children, give birth while on the way, and cater for their families which calls for more assistance to cater.
As a means to reduce on domestic violence, we have a routine passing over of gifts in honor of the members’ birthdays. On such occasion the celebrant is given gifts ranging from kitchen ware to personal clothing. This has tremendously addressed loopholes created by husbands who don’t buy household property and therefore reduced that tension hence minimizing domestic violence.
Also we offer counseling services to victims of domestic violence, marriage conflicts, HIV/AIDS. On market we have a booklet “Stop Domestic Violence” and a “Natural Family planning Calendar” both in English and Luganda at 5,000/= and 2,500/= per copy respectively.
