Fedelis has been the Vice secretary of the organization for 6 years. Poultry, catering, hiring, buying and selling produce, handicraft, piggery and sustainable agriculture are some of the ICWOGU activities. Unfortunately, we had zero grazing but all the animals died due to productive problems Achievements - General benefitsWe operate a credit and saving scheme which helps members to educate their children and manage their home and personal social-economic affairs. We planted 6 hectors of land with a variety of trees which we have already harvested fire wood and sold timbers Members in their centers planted trees around their church compounds and in their homesteads and family land. We planted trees at sub-district offices compound which fostered good relationship between the administration. We solicited a grant from NTULUME VILLAGE WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (NVIWODA) which we used to purchase 6 exotic goats. Women did the cross breeding method with local goats and are getting better improved animals (see picture in Photo Gallery). NEMA Uganda funded the tree nursery project and we managed to raise 140,000 seedlings for two planting seasons which is being planted in the water catchment area. It is still on going project. (see picture in Photo Gallery). We mobilize, sensitize and empower women, youth communities and school children with skills and knowledge about issues concerning environment, health and nutrition, GAS, HIV/AIDS, Religion and politics. In the health sector, we implemented a nutrition and early childhood development project which was a success. We have started tree planting campaigns in schools around Ibanda town council in liaison with the Ministry of Education participating in the issue of soil & water conservation under Eco-school campaign. We have a lock-up shop in Ibanda Taxi Park as source of income for the group. This year we managed to buy a building where we are to accommodate our offices and have commercial premises as source of income. We are now on the Internet, all our activities will be profiled on the web. Credit goes to change Agent and NVIWODA for the LC1 training given to us.
