Mission	GWAD is to promote and build capacity of grassroots women to be able to respond to the needs of their families, communities, in order to improve the living conditions of the people in the area of operation.
Geographical area of operations	Gulu District as of now, but to expand to Kitgum, Pader, Lira and Apac Districts
Issues area of operations	Women empowerment through skill and knowledge training and all other women concerns, children concerns and HIV/AIDS, girl child education.
Activities	Women activities in general like training women in some skills to improve their income Advocating for girl child education Tree planting and construction of energy saving stoves Care and support of orphans, those affected by HIV/AIDS

Additional Information	Due to conflict in the North, women at grassroots really have problems and have no way of voicing them out. GWAD lacks capacity to help.
