Mission	APAC is a forum for reflection, study and action on gender and media issue. A framework on action for new means of practicing communication and for reflecting on the best image of women through media and of communication for the promotion of women and development in Africa.
Geographical area of operations	North Africa (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) Sub-saharan Africa (Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Chad, Gabon,Mali, Niger, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Guinea)
Issues area of operations	Gender and communication/media. An umbrella organization for every action undertaken by or for gender and development.
Activities	Three fields of activity: 1) Production: We elaborate and broadcast written articles, programmes, audiovisual materials for radio and TV and for women associations and groups. 2) Publication: Since 1986, we have published our own magazine, a quarterly called "La Satellite 2000". 3) Training: We organize and/or participate in seminars and training sessions, refresher courses and obtain scholarships for members.
